Single Head Drilling Machine

(Fixed Table/Drill)

The D1151 drill is designed primarily for drilling a single hole in a part.  A table is included, with tapped holes to allow for placement of adjustable locator stops as needed to position the part for the hole location needed. The drill head can be our pneumatic feed drill or the servo head, which we highly recommend.  The servo drill provides for increased approach speed and reduced cycle time, while also allowing for easily adjustable speeds, as well as easy hole chamfering.  The back of the welded steel frame is precision machined, and linear rails ensure precise concentricity of the upper and lower traveling arms.  Nearly all components are mounted at the back of the machine, away from the water area. Optional side support caster tables can be provided for very large parts.  Additional options include: laser light indicator(to assist setup), drill bit height measurement(to assist in setting height after tool change).

Features

Spindle heads are removable for repair or rebuild

Alignment System incorporated providing fast, easy alignment of the upper spindle to the lower spindle

Coolant water supplied directly to the spindles via a rotary joint and valving – restricts flow during non-drilling time

Lubrication – Oil Mist System for spindles is included

Servo ballscrew-driven arms provide separately programmable speeds for approach, drill, and chamfer.

Top drill can be programmed to feed fully through to “clean up” hole edges.

Spindle rpm’s are programmable via AC drive.

All Moving Components are protected from the water (in the back of the machine)

Thickness of glass can be programmed as well as top and bottom feed depths.
