Corner Cutting/Grinding (appliance)

The Corner Cutter_Grinder is an inline machine for the purpose of producing mitered corners, sometimes required in appliance glass manufacturing.  The system was developed to produce cut and ground mitered corners at a faster rate than cnc processing.

Two cutting heads, each programmable for miter angle, are mounted on the first station of the machine. Glass enters, is properly located, and then held in place.  The corners are then cut and broken off.  The glass then travels to the second station. This station includes a grinding head which is also programmable for the miter angle.  The lead edge is tracked via a special sensor in order to start grinding at a precise point.
