Case Study: CNC Griding/Seaming

Case Study 2:
A customer had the need to lightly seam circles/shapes, in an automated continuous flow system.  GLASSLINE™ designed a complete line to robotically load a CNC Cutting machine(which included automatic breakout), a transfer shuttle to then automatically index the circle in position to a special CNC circle seamer.  The seamer was a specially made CNC system to program the shape of the circle, while the grinding head was a pneumatically compliant design to ensure that a light seam was ground instead of a heavy grinder.  The part then traveled through a washing machine, then through a vertical accumulator as a process buffer, and then to a squaring station for further robotic handling.
