The frame is fabricated from structural tubing and steel for ruggedness and rigidity. The system consists of a track-type positioning and encoding mechanism system to register the X and Y distances traveled on the surface of the table.
Glassline's Digitizer Table is a cost effective method of digitizing glass templates and mylars for CNC cutters and grinders. The digitizer is ideal for the glass industry because it is much less expensive than CMM machines yet still provides more accuracy than most available digitizers. The user can measure points with a video camera with a cross hair for drawings or templates.
The table surface tilts to provide easy access to the user. The table is made from a heavy duty steel frame that is stress relieved and ground to provide accurate measurement over the life of the machine. The table surface is machine ground to provide a extremely flat surface that does not alter the shape of templates.
The data is transferred to a PC (Customer supplied) using a RS232 port. A software driver is provided to store the data.
The table is inclinable and is mounted and supported on a linear actuator. The Digitizing system has a +/- .025 mm accuracy.
