When fabricating products with float glass it may be necessary to know which glass surface has the tin deposit. A minuscule tin deposit remains on the under surface of float glass as the ribbon of glass passes over the molten tin in the glass manufacturing process.

The Glassline Corporation Tin Surface Detector is a compact and inexpensive electronic system to determine the tin surface of float glass. It easily mounts over any conveying line. As glass passes under the detector the top surface is identified as "tin" or "non-tin".

APPLICATIONS OF THE TIN SURFACE DECTECTOR:
Automotive glass fabrication
Flat glass tempering
Mirror manufacturing and other coated glass fabrication
Float glass packaging
TIN SURFACE DETECTOR FEATURES:
Automatically indicates the "tin surface" of float glass (under surface of the glass during manufacturing)
Non glass contact—will work on moving glass
Built-in alarm if ambient light level is excessive
Inspection lamps automatically shut off two seconds after inspection of last glass piece (This increases life of UV filter)
Three adjustable preset thresholds give the user the ability to compensate for multiple tin levels in one production run
Built-in digital meter and test switch for set-up and diagnostics
Can be interfaced to a Programmable Logic Control (PLC)
Package for industrial environment -NEMA 12 110 VAC 60 HZ and 220 VAC 50HZ model available
