The model ED-252 Diamond Wheel Profiling machine is a heavy duty 50 amp EDM (Electro Discharge Machine) specially equipped for profiling or re-profiling diamond wheels. A machine tool spindle rotates the diamond wheel and a second spindle rotates the electrode, both have variable speed. Two passes are normally made, one rough and one fine to impart literally any profile into a wheel, even a "V" groove. One person can operate multiple machines and can normally process up to 18 wheels per 8 hour shift per machine. Electrodes can be profiled off line or on the ED-252 using a diamond wheel with the correct profile. A video comparator is also available for visual inspection (as shown).
