Model 1146

The D1146 linear / polar drilling system allows drilling virtually anywhere around the perimeter of the part, with no limit on the quantity of holes. This drilling platform is popular for vehicle glass manufacturing, but is also useful for any application requiring perimeter holes and ease of setup and programmability.

The standard D1146 is a two axis machine consisting of a linear drill positioning axis and a rotary glass positioning axis. An additional linear axis can be added, and multiple drill heads can be mounted on each linear axis. In addition, multiple stations can be placed inline, allowing for many different possible configurations to drill various sizes of holes at a low overall cycle rate. The system is well suited for automatic loading and unloading, but can also be manually loaded.
